We are currently seeking PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) Teaching Assistants to work within specialist SEN schools across South Gloucestershire.
As a PMLD Teaching Assistant, you will support children and young people with profound and complex learning needs. Pupils may require significant assistance with personal care, communication, mobility and sensory regulation. You will be part of a highly supportive, skilled team, helping to create a safe, structured and nurturing learning environment where every pupil is supported to reach their full potential.
Key responsibilities:- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties
- Supporting with personal care, including feeding, toileting, hygiene and mobility
- Delivering sensory-based learning and communication support (PECS, Makaton, AAC)
- Following individual EHCPs and contributing to therapeutic and intervention programmes
- Working collaboratively with teachers, therapists and healthcare professionals
- Supporting with medication, where required, in line with school policies
- Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only
- Pay: Β£95 to Β£110 per day, depending on experience and qualifications
- Flexibility: Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Start date: Immediate starts, with potential for long term or permanent roles for the right candidates
- Location: South Gloucestershire
