Playworker Manager – Breakfast & After School Club

Primary School – Southwark, South East London – Start Date: September
Working Hours: Monday‑Friday – Breakfast Club: 8:00am‑9:00am
After School Club: 3:30pm‑5:45pm – Pay: £18‑£20 per hour – Contract: Long‑Term – Agency: SANZA Teaching Agency

The Role

  • Lead and manage the day‑to‑day running of the breakfast and after school club.
  • Plan and deliver a range of fun, creative and inclusive activities for primary‑aged children.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing and enjoyment of all pupils in your care.
  • Supervise and support playworkers, ensuring high standards of care are maintained.
  • Build positive relationships with children, parents, carers and school staff.
  • Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and childcare policies are followed at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Holds a Level3 Childcare qualification (essential).
  • Has previous experience working in a breakfast club, after school club, nursery or similar childcare setting.
  • Has experience leading or supervising a team.
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable and highly organised.
  • Has excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
  • Is committed to providing high‑quality childcare in a fun and supportive environment.
