SANZA Teaching Agency is recruiting a creative and knowledgeable Photography Teacher for a highly respected independent school in Barnet. This full-time position will commence in the Autumn Term, with trial days available immediately for suitable candidates. About the Role

The successful candidate will deliver Photography lessons across Key Stages 4 and 5, preparing students for GCSE and A-Level examinations through the Eduqas specification. The majority of the timetable will be dedicated to Photography, allowing teachers to focus on developing students' technical skills, artistic understanding, and creative portfolios. There may also be the opportunity to contribute to the school's popular Friday afternoon enrichment programme, which offers students a range of engaging co-curricular activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Photography to students in KS4 and KS5
  • Plan and deliver engaging, practical and theory-based lessons
  • Prepare students for success in GCSE and A-Level examinations
  • Monitor student progress and provide targeted support where required
  • Contribute positively to the wider creative arts department

Person Specification

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have a proven track record of teaching Photography at secondary level
  • Possess experience of the Eduqas Photography curriculum
  • Demonstrate a passion for visual arts and creative education
  • Be an organised and reflective practitioner with strong classroom management skills
  • Inspire students to develop confidence, creativity and technical expertise
