Performing Arts Teacher
Location: Northampton
Start Date: September 2025 Full-Time Permanent

We are working with vibrant and inclusive secondary schools in Northampton that are seeking inspiring Performing Arts Teachers to join their creative faculties from September 2025. These full-time, permanent roles offer the chance to deliver high-impact lessons in Drama, Music, and/or Dance in well-resourced schools with thriving arts cultures.

About the Role:

  • Teach engaging and inclusive Performing Arts lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience and curriculum needs)

  • Inspire students through practical and theoretical work in Drama, Music, and/or Dance

  • Develop performance opportunities and contribute to school productions, showcases, and enrichment events

  • Foster creativity, confidence, and collaboration through expressive, student-led learning

  • Plan and deliver a well-sequenced curriculum that nurtures artistic skill, critical thinking, and cultural appreciation

  • Work collaboratively with other creative departments to promote cross-curricular learning and whole-school arts initiatives

We\’re Looking For:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent) with a specialism in Performing Arts or a related discipline

  • Strong subject knowledge in Drama, Dance, or Music (or a combination), with the ability to deliver high-quality practical and theoretical lessons

  • A creative and flexible approach to teaching that engages all learners and promotes student voice

  • Someone who values inclusivity and believes in the power of the arts to support personal development and wellbeing

  • A team player who brings energy, innovation, and commitment to extracurricular arts activities

  • Early Career Teachers (ECTs) are encouraged to apply – full induction and support will be provided
