We are seeking dedicated and inspiring Tutors to support children and young people across Hull and the East Riding who are currently outside of mainstream education. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to learners who may have additional needs, SEND, SEMH, anxiety, medical needs, or disrupted educational experiences.
About the Role
- Deliver 1:1 or small-group tuition to pupils from Key Stage 2 to Key Stage 5
- Provide tailored learning programmes aligned to individual needs, abilities, and EHCP outcomes (where applicable)
- Support learners in core subjects and/or specialist areas
- Build positive, trusting relationships to re-engage learners with education
- Deliver sessions in a variety of settings, including homes, community venues, or alternative provisions
- Maintain clear session records and feedback
Who We're Looking For
- Qualified Teachers (QTS/QTLS)
- Experienced Tutors
- HLTAs or Teaching Assistants with relevant experience
- Professionals with strong subject knowledge and experience supporting vulnerable learners
You will ideally have:
- Experience working with children and young people outside mainstream education
- Confidence supporting learners with SEND, SEMH, or behavioural challenges
- A calm, patient, and flexible approach
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine passion for helping young people succeed
