About the Position
As a Pastoral TA you will be instrumental in supporting students who may display challenging behaviours, helping them to develop positive engagement with learning and school community life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing 1:1 or small group support for pupils with social, emotional or behavioural challenges
- De-escalating situations calmly and professionally, utilising restorative practices when suitable
- Supporting students' emotional wellbeing and personal growth
- Collaborating closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams, and SENCOs to deliver effective behaviour interventions
- Demonstrating positive behaviour and establishing trusting relationships with young people

- Prior experience supporting children or young people with behavioural challenges (within education, youth work, or care environments)
- Composed, confident, and optimistic when facing pressure
