Are you passionate about supporting the wellbeing and personal development of young people? We are currently recruiting a compassionate and dedicated Pastoral Support Worker to join a supportive school community. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students' emotional, social, and behavioural development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide pastoral support to students, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups to address social, emotional, and behavioural needs
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning and improving engagement
- Liaise with teaching staff, parents, and external agencies where appropriate
- Monitor and track student progress, attendance, and behaviour
- Contribute to the development and implementation of pastoral support plans
- Support safeguarding and child protection procedures in line with school policies
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children or young people, particularly in a pastoral or support role
- A calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- The ability to manage challenging behaviour effectively
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection (training can be provided)
- A background in psychology, youth work, or education (desirable but not essential)
