Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a Pastoral Support Officer to work in a mainstream secondary school in Daventry, starting as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong behaviour management skills and a genuine interest in student wellbeing, attendance, and pastoral care.
The Role
- Supporting students with behaviour and attendance across the school
- Working closely with pupils to promote positive choices and engagement
- Liaising with parents/carers, teachers, and senior leadership team (SLT)
- Monitoring attendance and following up on absences
- Providing 1:1 and small group pastoral support
- Assisting with behaviour interventions and reintegration strategies
- Contributing to a safe and supportive school environment
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with young people (school, care, youth work, or similar)
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- Confident liaising with parents and external stakeholders
- Calm, resilient, and adaptable approach
