Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with a secondary school in Liverpool to recruit an experienced and motivated Pastoral Lead to join their dedicated pastoral team on a full-time, temp to perm basis starting September 2026.
The Role
This is a key support staff position focused on safeguarding, student wellbeing, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of a year group. You will play a central role in tracking and monitoring student behaviour, attendance, progress, and wellbeing, while working closely with staff, parents, and external agencies to ensure students receive the appropriate support and interventions.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a main point of contact for students, parents, staff, and external agencies
- Monitor and track student progress, attendance, behaviour, and wellbeing
- Support safeguarding processes and respond to day-to-day pastoral concerns
- Work closely with the pastoral team to manage cases and coordinate interventions
- Promote positive behaviour in line with school policies, including rewards and sanctions
- Organise and support Parents Evenings, reports, and key school events
- Build strong relationships with vulnerable pupils and their families
- Maintain accurate records using school systems such as CPOMS
- Lead tutor teams, pastoral meetings, and contribute to whole-school initiatives
- Support transition between Key Stages and prepare students for future educational pathways
