Part-Time Food Technology Supply Teacher - Interim PRU Rochdale 3 Days per Week (Monday-Wednesday) Ongoing temporary supply. Tradewind Recruitment is supporting an interim Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Rochdale to recruit a part-time Food Technology Supply Teacher to cover a temporary absence. This setting provides short-term placements (approximately 12 weeks) for pupils with the aim of successful reintegration into mainstream education. Learners include both primary and secondary-aged pupils, requiring a flexible and nurturing teaching approach.
Responsibilities
- Teach Food Technology and practical cooking skills to pupils in KS2, KS3 and KS4
- Deliver engaging, hands-on lessons that promote independence, routine and life skills
- Work with small groups in a supportive, structured PRU environment
- Support pupils with SEMH needs and varied educational experiences
Requirements
- A background or experience in Food Technology and/or experience working with pupils with SEMH needs
- The ability to adapt teaching for a wide age and ability range
- Strong behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential
- QTS or QTLS is preferred
