Agency: Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Science Technician to join a secondary school in Oldham as soon as possible.
- Setting up and preparing equipment for practical science lessons
- Ensuring safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals in line with health and safety regulations
- Managing and maintaining laboratory stock levels, ordering supplies as needed
- Cleaning, maintaining, and organising scientific equipment
- Assisting teachers and students during practical sessions where required
- Keeping accurate records of chemicals, equipment, and safety checks
Must have prior experience working as a Science Technician in a school or educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
