Tradewind Manchester are recruiting for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant in Royton, Oldham. This role is ideal for experienced teaching assistants or Psychology graduates with SEN experience looking to begin their educational Psychology career.
The primary school caters for pupils aged 4 - 11 and is seeking a behaviour support Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in KS1. This full-time role has an immediate start and will become permanent after an initial temporary period of typically 12 weeks.
Responsibilities:
- Teaching pupils with emotional, behavioural and social difficulties, including those with Autism.
- Taking responsibility for the safeguarding of the young people in your care.
- Supporting the school team to provide a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn.
Requirements / Qualifications:
- Recent experience supporting children with challenging behaviour.
- A DBS certificate, or willingness to apply for one.
- Ability to provide 2 professional references, including one from your latest employer or education institution.
- Full-time availability.
- Team Teach training is desirable but not essential as training is available.
Role Details:
- Permanent Contract (following a typical 12-week temporary period).
- Full-time hours from 08:30 to 15:45.
- Free onsite parking and close to local transport links.
