Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 4 pupil who displays extremely challenging behaviour. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's educational journey.
The Role
- Provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with significant behavioural needs.
- Implement strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.
- Work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to deliver an individual support plan.
- Support the pupil with academic tasks to maintain engagement.
- Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Monitor, record, and report on progress, behaviour, and interventions.
The Ideal Candidate
- Experience working with SEND or pupils with challenging behaviour.
- Team-Teach trained (or willing to undertake training).
- Calm, patient, and confident in behaviour management strategies.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Committed to supporting pupils' emotional and academic development.
- Flexible and adaptable in a dynamic school environment.
