Are you passionate about making a real difference to children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? Tradewind Recruitment are supporting one of their partnership primary schools based in the West Bridgford area, with a 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a Year 1 pupil.

This is a beautiful, one-form-entry primary school based in Nottingham which is part of a successful academy trust but holds a community feel within the local area. The school has a wonderful reputation in the area with parents and is a school regularly requested by supply staff to return to.

  • Provide 1:1 tailored support for your assigned pupil in Year 1
  • Work alongside class teachers and SENCOs to implement EHCP target and support plan
  • Adapt learning resources to meet individual needs of the child
  • Holds at least a Level 1 Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or 3 desirable)
  • Has previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, ideally within SEND or inclusion
  • Confident supporting pupils with additional needs in a mainstream primary setting
  • Patient, empathetic, and committed to pupil progress and wellbeing
  • Holds an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply)
  • Available Monday to Friday (part-time roles still require weekday availability)
