Are you an experienced Teaching Assistant who feels confident delivering Phonics sessions to students in Early Years and KS1?

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Phonics sessions to Early Years and KS1 students.
  • Lead intervention groups and work with SEND students; maintain strong knowledge of the National Curriculum.
  • Support pupils in reading/writing or maths as part of academic interventions; differentiate work according to academic levels; engage pupils and apply phonics knowledge (including experience with Jolly Phonics, Letters & Sounds and/or Read Write Inc).

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven track record of supporting pupils in Early Years and KS1, including academic interventions in reading/writing or maths.
  • Strong language and literacy skills; clear understanding of phonics.
  • Have Primary School and phonics experience.
  • Be subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks.
  • Provide a CV with employment/education history; explain any employment breaks.
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK.

  • Working hours: 8:15-4:00.
  • Opportunity for a permanent contract after a temporary period of work.
  • Onsite parking and good transport links.
  • September 2025 start.
