The Role
As our Science Technician, you will work closely with teaching staff to ensure practical science lessons run smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, setting up and clearing away equipment and materials for practical lessons.
- Maintaining laboratories, equipment and scientific resources.
- Ensuring chemicals and equipment are stored safely and in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Assisting with stock control, ordering and maintaining inventory records.
- Supporting teachers with practical demonstrations where appropriate.
- Carrying out routine maintenance, cleaning and checking of laboratory equipment.
- Promoting and maintaining a safe working environment for staff and students.
