The Exclusion Unit Officer will be responsible for providing supervision and support for students who have been removed from lessons due to behavioural issues. The role also includes an active on-call responsibility, responding to incidents across the school and supporting staff in maintaining a calm, safe and purposeful learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise students placed in the Exclusion Unit due to behavioural incidents.
- Ensure students complete set work and remain focused throughout the school day.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, behaviour and outcomes.
- Support students in reflecting on their behaviour and developing positive strategies for improvement.
- Liaise with teaching staff, pastoral leaders and senior leaders regarding student progress and reintegration into lessons.
