Role responsibilities

  • Teach Religious Education across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for the right candidate.
  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that promote discussion, reflection and critical thinking.
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment where students feel confident expressing their views respectfully.
  • Support students of all abilities to achieve their full potential.
  • Work collaboratively with the Humanities department to develop curriculum resources and share best practice.
  • Encourage students to develop an understanding of different beliefs, cultures and moral perspectives.

Ideal candidate

  • Hold QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Have strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for Religious Education.
  • Be confident managing behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
  • Be committed to delivering inclusive, high‑quality teaching and learning.
  • Be suitable for both experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
