We are currently recruiting on behalf of a fantastic SEN school in Northampton, seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Workers to join their team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, care workers, teaching assistants, or anyone looking to build a career in specialist education.
As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in helping pupils achieve their full potential by providing tailored support both inside and outside the classroom.
You'll be working with children and young people with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, Speech and Language Needs, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
Your Responsibilities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils.
Encourage positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
Support pupils with learning, communication and social development.
Assist teachers in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
Help create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment.
We're Looking For
Experience working with children or adults with SEN, Autism, SEMH or learning disabilities is desirable.
Candidates from education, care, residential support, healthcare, youth work or support worker backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
