Medical Care Teaching Assistant - SEN School

Location: Northampton Agency: Tradewind Recruitment Position: Teaching Assistant Contract: Long-term & Temp-to-Perm Opportunities Available

Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to support students within a SEN school in Northampton.

The school supports students with a range of medical, physical and additional needs, with some students also presenting with high-functioning autism.

The Role

Supporting students with a range of medical and physical needs within the classroom and wider school environment.

Providing personal care support where required, including toileting and other personal care needs.

Supporting students with mobility and physical needs, including following appropriate manual handling procedures.

Assisting students with their learning, engagement and day-to-day development.

Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals to provide consistent support.

The school provides a supportive environment for students with a variety of SEND needs.

The role would suit someone with previous experience in education, healthcare, care work, support work or a similar setting.
