This is a full-time, long-term position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate, offering a supportive environment and excellent professional development opportunities.

Role Overview

• Deliver engaging and well-structured History lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
• Inspire curiosity and enthusiasm for History through creative and interactive teaching approaches
• Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement
• Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes high expectations
• Support whole-school initiatives and enrichment activities where appropriate

Candidate Profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Strong subject knowledge and a genuine passion for History
• Ability to motivate and challenge students of varying abilities
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A collaborative team player committed to professional development
• Suitable for experienced teachers and confident Early Career Teachers (ECTs)
