Looking for flexible part-time work that fits around your university timetable? Want to gain valuable experience while making a real difference to young people's lives? Tradewind Recruitment is looking for enthusiastic, reliable and motivated students to join our team of educators, supporting schools across Northamptonshire on an ad-hoc basis! Whether you're studying Psychology, Education, Sports Coaching, Youth Work, Health and Social Care, or another related subject, this could be a fantastic opportunity to put your skills into practice, gain hands-on experience and earn money alongside your studies. The Opportunities We're recruiting for flexible, ad-hoc roles as Teaching Assistants and Cover Teachers across a range of educational settings, including mainstream schools, Special Educational Needs (SEN) schools and alternative provisions. As a Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils in the classroom, working on a one-to-one basis, helping small groups with activities, or providing additional support to young people who need a little extra encouragement. As a Cover Teacher, you could be leading lessons, keeping pupils engaged and supporting learning in the absence of their usual teacher. Previous teaching qualifications aren't necessarily essential for every opportunity, but relevant experience, confidence and the ability to engage groups of people are important. What Experience Are We Looking For? We're particularly interested in students who have experience working with or supporting vulnerable people, young people or individuals who may need additional support. Your experience doesn't have to come from a school! Transferable experience could include: Care work: Supporting individuals in residential care homes, nursing homes or other care settings. Healthcare: Working in hospitals, healthcare environments or supporting people with additional needs. Coaching and mentoring: Sports coaching, youth mentoring, tutoring or leading groups and activities. Youth work: Supporting young people through youth clubs, community projects or outreach programmes. Support work: Working with individuals with disabilities, additional needs, social, emotional or mental health needs. Customer-facing and leadership roles: Experience communicating confidently, managing groups, resolving challenges and building positive relationships. We're looking for people who are patient, adaptable, proactive and confident building positive relationships. You'll need to be comfortable working in new environments, thinking on your feet and helping others feel supported, included and engaged. Why Work With Tradewind?
