Start Date: September 2026

Hours: 27.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (8:45am - 3:15pm)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Term Time Only (38 Weeks Per Year)

Salary: £24,796 - £25,185 FTE - Actual Salary £15,461.53 - £15,704.13

Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a welcoming and nurturing Church school in Northampton that is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team from September 2026. The Role

  • Support children within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) both in and outside the classroom
  • Work alongside the class teacher to deliver engaging and stimulating learning activities
  • Support children on a one-to-one basis and in small groups to help them achieve their full potential
  • Encourage the development of children's social, emotional, and communication skills
  • Help create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment
  • Contribute to the wider life and ethos of the school community

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Is enthusiastic, approachable, friendly, and positive in their contribution to the whole school community
  • Can work confidently, effectively, flexibly, and independently when required
  • Has previous experience supporting children of a relevant age, ideally within a school or educational setting
  • Has strong communication skills and enjoys working collaboratively as part of a supportive team
  • Demonstrates good literacy and numeracy skills
  • Can build positive working relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Is committed to ongoing professional development
  • Shows initiative, creativity, and adaptability in different situations
  • Is passionate about safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing
