We are working in partnership with a secondary school in Northampton seeking a dedicated Teacher of Business & Computer Science to join their team from September 2026.

This is a full-time permanent position, offering an excellent opportunity to become a valued member of a supportive and ambitious department.

The school is committed to delivering an engaging and forward-thinking curriculum, helping students develop the knowledge, confidence and practical skills needed to succeed in further education, employment and an increasingly digital world.

This role would suit an enthusiastic teacher who can inspire students through both creative and practical learning, encouraging curiosity, problem-solving and independent thinking.

Job Purpose

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching across Business and Computer Science, ensuring students make strong academic progress while developing valuable skills for their future.

You will contribute to curriculum development, student wellbeing and the wider life of the school.

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach engaging Business and Computer Science lessons across KS3, KS4 and KS5
  • Plan and deliver a broad, inclusive curriculum that challenges and supports all learners
  • Develop students' understanding of business concepts, digital technology and real-world applications
  • Use assessment and data effectively to monitor progress and improve outcomes
  • Encourage students to develop analytical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills
  • Create and adapt high-quality teaching resources
  • Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental development
  • Apply effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive classroom environment
  • Support students with a range of abilities, including SEND and disadvantaged learners
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and external partners

  • The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a relevant degree or teaching qualification
  • Experience teaching Business and/or Computer Science at secondary level
  • Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for inspiring young people
  • The ability to deliver engaging lessons that link learning to real-world opportunities
  • High expectations for student achievement, progress and behaviour
