We are seeking a reliable and proactive Premises Assistant to join our site team at a busy and welcoming secondary school in Newham. This is a long-term temporary role, initially running until July 2026, offering stability and the opportunity to work in a supportive school environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the school site is safe, secure, and well maintained for students, staff, and visitors. Duties will include:
- General maintenance and minor repairs across the school site
- Opening and closing the school buildings as required
- Supporting health and safety procedures
- Setting up rooms for lessons, meetings, and events
- Maintaining cleanliness and tidiness of external areas
- Assisting with deliveries and moving equipment or furniture
- Liaising with contractors when necessary
