Year 1 Class Teacher - Nelson
Full-Time | Long-Term Position | 22nd January - End of Academic Year Pay: M2-M6 | £184.83-£240.72 per day, dependent on experience
Tradewind Recruitment are working in partnership with an Ofsted Outstanding infant school in Nelson, who are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Year 1 Class Teacher to join their team from 22nd January until the end of the academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a highly regarded infant school with a strong reputation for providing an excellent education. As a three-form-entry school, you will benefit from working alongside other Year 1 teachers, providing a supportive team environment with opportunities to share ideas, resources and good practice.
About the Role
We are looking for a confident and dedicated teacher with a strong understanding of Key Stage 1, particularly Year 1, who can hit the ground running and make a positive impact on pupil's learning and development.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have proven teaching experience within Key Stage 1, with specific experience teaching Year 1.
- Have strong knowledge and understanding of phonics and its delivery.
- Be confident in planning, delivering and assessing engaging lessons.
- Have high expectations for pupil progress, behaviour and achievement.
- Be adaptable, enthusiastic and able to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- Be willing and available to attend school staff meetings and other relevant meetings after school as required.
Please note: This position is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs). Previous experience teaching within Year 1 is essential.
