Motor Vehicle Lecturer – HGV Specialist (Further Education) – Northampton College

Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle professional or lecturer with a strong background in Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGV)? Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a forward-thinking college in Northampton, and we\’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Motor Vehicle Lecturer to join their Further Education team on a temporary basis – with strong potential for extension or a permanent role.

The Role

You will be responsible for delivering engaging, high-quality teaching and learning to students aged 16+ enrolled in Motor Vehicle courses. The curriculum covers a range of topics including diagnostics, repair, maintenance, and servicing, with a particular focus on HGVs. Your industry experience and up-to-date knowledge will be crucial in helping learners achieve their qualifications and prepare for a successful career in the automotive sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver and assess units on Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Levels 1-3)
  • Teach HGV-specific content, drawing on real-world experience
  • Support learners in both practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum
  • Monitor student progress and provide tailored support
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to curriculum development
