Sports Coach – Primary School, Milton Keynes

A welcoming primary school in Milton Keynes is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Sports Coach to join their team on a permanent basis from September2026.

This is a full‑time opportunity within a supportive and inclusive school environment, ideal for someone looking to develop their career in education, coaching, or child development.

Whether you have a sports degree, be an experienced coach, or you simply have a strong passion for physical education and working with primary‑aged children, this role provides an excellent opportunity to make a positive impact on pupils’ confidence, wellbeing, and engagement through sport.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the delivery of high‑quality PE sessions across the primary age range.
  • Coach pupils across a variety of sports during curriculum lessons, clubs, and enrichment activities.
  • Plan and deliver engaging activities that encourage participation and enjoyment.
  • Support the organisation of school sports events, competitions, and fixtures.
  • Encourage teamwork, confidence, resilience, and positive attitudes toward physical activity.
  • Support pupils of all abilities, including those who may need additional encouragement to participate.
  • Help create a fun, inclusive, and energetic sporting environment.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and school staff to support the wider PE curriculum.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • A strong passion for sport, PE, fitness, and working with children.
  • Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting young people (school, club, or community setting desirable).
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and able to engage pupils of all abilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • A proactive, reliable, and positive approach.
  • Ability to encourage participation and create an inclusive sporting environment.
  • Relevant sports qualifications (e. g. Sports Coaching, Sports Science degree, or coaching badges) are welcomed but not essential.
