Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking confident and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to join our fantastic partner schools across Milton Keynes. If you’re passionate about supporting children’s learning and are ready to take on greater classroom responsibility, we’d love to hear from you.

As an HLTA, you’ll play an essential role in supporting teaching and learning across a range of year groups. Working alongside class teachers and school leaders, you’ll deliver high-quality interventions, lead lessons in the teacher’s absence, and provide tailored support to help pupils reach their full potential. This is a varied and rewarding role that offers the opportunity to make a real difference every day.

Your responsibilities may include:

  • Delivering pre-planned lessons across the primary curriculum when required
  • Supporting teachers with lesson preparation and classroom management
  • Leading small group and one-to-one interventions to raise attainment
  • Providing targeted support for pupils with additional learning needs
  • Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
  • Creating a positive, engaging and inclusive learning environment

We are looking for candidates who:

  • Hold HLTA status or have significant experience in a similar role
  • Have a strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Are confident leading whole-class learning independently
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Are adaptable, proactive and committed to helping every child succeed
  • Hold (or are willing to obtain) an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
