About the Role:

  • Planning and delivering engaging Drama lessons across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 advantageous)
  • Encouraging creativity, confidence, and performance skills within the classroom
  • Supporting students with practical performances, scripted work, and devising projects
  • Differentiating lessons to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
  • Assessing pupil progress and providing constructive feedback
  • Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Managing classroom behaviour in line with school policies
  • Working collaboratively with Performing Arts departments and senior leadership teams
  • Supporting school productions, rehearsals, and extracurricular activities where required

Requirements:

  • QTS or QTLS (or strong FE Drama/Performing Arts teaching experience)
  • Experience teaching Drama within a secondary school setting
  • Strong subject knowledge and passion for the performing arts
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A proactive, flexible, and adaptable attitude
  • A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one)
  • Two professional references covering the last 2 years
