Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for a part time MFL teacher to work at an exceptional school in Hull, starting January 5th and lasting until at least February half term 2026. Full planning and marking will be expected for this role, and for this reason payment will be in line with the main teaching pay scale. Scaled to a daily rate, this will be between 168.80 and 261.77 per day.
There is a 2 day per week booking, with the working days being a Monday and a Thursday. The school is fairly central in Hull, and is also available on most bus routes, making it extremely accessible. There is a large, free, onsite car park that is free to use for all candidates. Behaviour at the school is widely recognised as good, and is in a local academy trust, predominantly with primary schools. The school day runs between 8:30 and 3:35.
You will be responsible for teaching MFL (mainly French and Spanish) to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. Full planning and marking is hoped for, but negotiation on this front is available as there is a wealth of resources on file for candidates to use, with slight amendments being needed. Marking requirements will also be low for this role. This role suits candidates who are looking for work life balance.
Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

- Has a PGCE/Qualified Teacher status
- Has a languages degree (desirable)
- Have experience working within colleges in the UK
- Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
