We are working in partnership with a well-regarded primary school in Market Harborough that is looking to appoint a committed Key Stage 2 Teacher to join their team immediately. This is a full-time, permanent position within a supportive school where teachers are encouraged to develop their practice, build strong relationships with pupils, and contribute to the wider school community.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons that follow the Primary National Curriculum
  • Create stimulating learning experiences that encourage curiosity and independent thinking
  • Assess pupil progress and use this information to inform future teaching
  • Adapt lessons and resources to meet a range of learning needs, including SEND
  • Establish clear routines and maintain high standards of behaviour and learning
  • Support pupils' academic, social, and emotional development
  • Encourage pupils to develop confidence, resilience, independence, and a positive attitude towards learning
  • Build strong relationships with pupils and communicate effectively with parents and carers
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and other staff to support pupil progress
  • Contribute to school events, enrichment activities, and the wider life of the school

About You

  • Holds QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2, although this is not essential
  • Has a strong understanding of the Primary National Curriculum
  • Can plan and deliver well-structured and engaging lessons
  • Has effective classroom management and high expectations of pupils
  • Is adaptable and confident in responding to different learning needs
  • Builds positive relationships with children, colleagues, and families
  • Is enthusiastic, reliable, and committed to professional development
  • ECTs are encouraged to apply and will be supported through induction and mentoring
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding and promoting pupil welfare
