Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a committed, enthusiastic and experienced Teaching Assistant to support a Year 6 class in a welcoming primary school in Denton from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated education professional who enjoys working with upper Key Stage 2 pupils and is passionate about helping children achieve their full potential as they prepare for the next stage of their education.
The Role
- Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 6 classroom.
- Working with pupils individually and in small groups to support progress.
- Helping pupils prepare for their transition to secondary school.
- Supporting literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum activities.
- Providing targeted support for pupils who require additional help.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a focused learning environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.
- Experience supporting pupils in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
- A good understanding of the primary curriculum.
- Confidence supporting pupils with a range of learning and behavioural needs.
- A calm, patient and positive approach.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
