Tradewind Recruitment are seeking a dedicated and qualified Music Teacher for an excellent maternity cover opportunity in Trafford. Are you a passionate secondary Music Teacher looking for a rewarding role in a high-achieving girls' school environment? We are working with a well-regarded and oversubscribed secondary school in Trafford, seeking a qualified teacher to join their team from September. This is a full‑time role within a supportive, ambitious and academically focused setting where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential.
The Role- Teach Music across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons that develop students' performance, composition and listening skills
- Assess, monitor and support student progress in line with curriculum expectations
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes participation and achievement
- Contribute to the delivery of a broad and ambitious Music curriculum
- Support extracurricular music activities, performances and enrichment opportunities where appropriate
- Undertake the wider responsibilities of a classroom teacher, including pastoral duties and form tutor responsibilities
- High‑achieving and oversubscribed secondary school
- Strong reputation for academic excellence and student support
- Motivated, respectful and aspirational student body

- Commitment to high standards, inclusion and student wellbeing
- Excellent transport links across Trafford and surrounding areas

- Ability to teach Music confidently across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, including GCSE Music
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners of all abilities
- A commitment to high‑quality teaching, learning and assessment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
