Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with an Ofsted Outstanding mixed secondary academy on the Rochdale-Manchester border to recruit a Girls' PE Teacher for a full-time supply position. The role is to cover a temporary sickness absence and is expected to last approximately 6 weeks. Immediate start available.

Responsibilities

  • Delivering Core PE to students aged 11-16
  • Delivering engaging practical and theory-based PE lessons
  • Teaching a broad range of sports and activities including football, basketball, netball, rounders, athletics, badminton, table tennis and fitness
  • Supporting elements of the PE curriculum including dance
  • Maintaining positive behaviour and high expectations for all pupils

School

  • 11-16 mixed secondary academy
  • Well-regarded and recognised in the local area

  • Easily accessible by car and public transport

Qualifications and Experience

  • Hold QTS or QTLS, or be a sports graduate with a recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, PCET, Cert Ed)
  • Experience teaching PE in UK secondary schools
  • Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced DBS
  • Provide a full CV with employment history
  • Have the legal right to work in the UK
  • This is a girls' PE role and is therefore only suitable for a female teacher
