Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a welcoming primary school in Moorside, Oldham, from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate education professional who enjoys working with younger children and is committed to supporting pupils' learning, development and wellbeing across EYFS and Key Stage 1.
The Role
- Delivering high-quality lessons and learning activities across EYFS and KS1.
- Providing classroom cover and supporting pupils in the absence of the class teacher.
- Working closely with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences.
- Supporting children's academic, social and emotional development.
- Leading small group interventions to help pupils make progress.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and creating a nurturing learning environment.
- Building strong relationships with pupils, staff and families.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, HLTA or in a similar primary education role.
- Experience supporting children within EYFS and Key Stage 1.
- Confidence delivering lessons and managing a classroom environment.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum and early years development.
- A caring, patient and enthusiastic approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
