Tradewind Recruitment is working in partnership with a well-regarded Secondary School in Salford to recruit an experienced Exams Officer for an immediate start. This is a key position within the school and requires a confident, organised professional who has previous experience working in schools or the education sector. Please note: applications will only be considered from candidates with relevant school-based or education experience.
The Role
- Managing the full exams cycle, including GCSE and any vocational qualifications
- Liaising with exam boards, senior leaders, teaching staff and external invigilators
- Registering candidates, submitting entries and amendments accurately and on time
- Organising exam timetables, rooming, seating plans and access arrangements
- Ensuring all exams are conducted in line with JCQ and awarding body regulations
- Training, coordinating and supervising invigilators
- Managing secure storage and distribution of exam papers and materials
- Overseeing the collection, dispatch and tracking of completed scripts
- Supporting results days, including post-results services such as remarks and appeals
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience working as an Exams Officer or in a similar exams/admin role within a school or educational setting
- Strong knowledge of examination processes and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- A commitment to safeguarding and maintaining confidentiality at all times
