We are currently recruiting for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil within a supportive primary school in Oldham. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in a child's educational journey by helping them feel supported, safe, and able to succeed within the classroom environment.

As a Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide focused 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with behavioural needs
  • Use effective de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes
  • Work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to follow an individual support plan
  • Encourage the pupil's engagement in learning and classroom activities
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and consistent approach throughout the school day

Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or challenging behaviour is essential. Team-Teach training, or willingness to complete relevant training, is required. A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support is necessary, along with a genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning.
