Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant - Location: Loughborough

Start Date: ASAP

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a dedicated Behaviour Support Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils within a school in Loughborough. The Role

  • Provide focused 1:1 support for pupils with behavioural needs
  • Use effective de-escalation and behaviour management strategies to support positive outcomes
  • Work closely with the class teacher and external professionals to follow an individual support plan
  • Encourage the pupil's engagement in learning and classroom activities
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and consistent approach throughout the school day
  • Record behaviour incidents, progress, and interventions when required
  • Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the pupil to encourage confidence and development

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND and/or challenging behaviour
  • Team-Teach training, or willingness to complete relevant training
  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to behaviour support
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changing situations within the classroom
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
