Are you an Outdoor Activity Instructor, Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Leader, Forest School Practitioner, or Sports Coach looking for predictable term-time hours, no split shift rotas, and all school holidays off?

Primary, secondary, and alternative provision (AP) schools across Lancashire (Preston, Blackpool, Burnley, Lancaster, Blackburn, and Chorley) are hiring dynamic individuals with outdoor education backgrounds for Outdoor Learning Mentors, PE/Sports Instructors, and Behaviour Support roles.

Position Overview:

Roles: Outdoor Learning Mentor / Forest School Lead / Behaviour Support / PE Cover Supervisor

Locations: Across Lancashire (Preston, Blackpool, Fylde Coast, East Lancashire)

Start Date: September 2026

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM (Term-time only - no weekend shifts, 13 weeks holiday)

Pay Rate: Β£85.00 - Β£105.00+ per day (PAYE, dependent on role and qualifications)

Contract: Full-time, long-term for the 2026/27 academic year with permanent contract routes

De-escalation & Emotional Resilience: Guiding youth through physical and mental comfort zones means you know how to manage frustration, anxiety, and conflict with a calm, reassuring presence.

Experiential Learning: Hands-on teaching methods help SEN and SEMH pupils who struggle with standard desk-bound classroom settings.

What You'll Be Doing:

Delivering structured outdoor education sessions, Forest School initiatives, or sports enrichment.

Mentoring students on a 1-to-1 or small group basis who face barriers to traditional learning.

Leading team-building, resilience-building, and practical outdoor tasks to boost student confidence and attendance. xgikmsk
