The Role:
- Deliver engaging lessons across the Year 6 curriculum
- Prepare pupils effectively for SATs and support children pastorally during their transition to secondary school
- Monitor pupil progress and provide targeted interventions where needed
- Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with the parallel Year 6 teacher and wider KS2 team
- Build strong relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Previous experience teaching Year 6
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs preparation
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A positive and proactive attitude
