We are working with a number of welcoming secondary schools in Wellingborough that are seeking motivated, unqualified English Teachers to join their teams from September 2025. These full-time roles are perfect for English graduates, aspiring teachers, or those with relevant experience but without formal QTS, who want to start their journey in education.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students
- Work alongside experienced teachers to support lesson planning and curriculum delivery
- Create a positive and well-managed classroom environment
- Differentiating teaching methods to support a range of student abilities and learning needs
- Assist with marking, assessments, and tracking student progress under supervision
- Participate fully in school safeguarding, training, and professional development
Who We're Looking For:
- A degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject
- Previous experience working with young people or within education is advantageous
- Confident and enthusiastic communicator with a passion for teaching English
- Organised, resilient, and dedicated to helping students reach their potential
- Open to feedback and keen to learn - an excellent opportunity for those considering teacher training such as PGCE or apprenticeship routes
- Must be willing to apply for or hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate
