Are you a compassionate, patient, and resilient individual looking to make a real difference in young people's lives? We are currently recruiting for dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils within specialist educational settings in the Kingston area. These are highly supportive, well-resourced environments that cater to pupils with complex needs, including Autism, severe learning difficulties, communication needs, and sensory or physical challenges. Every day is different, and your role will be key in helping pupils access learning, build confidence, and develop essential life skills.

The Role

  • You will be working closely with class teachers and therapists to provide 1:1 and small group support, helping to create a calm, structured, and engaging learning environment.
  • This may include supporting communication (verbal and non-verbal), assisting with personal care, and helping manage behaviours in a positive and proactive way.

  • Providing 1:1 and small group support
  • Supporting pupils with communication and learning activities
  • Helping manage behaviour in a calm and positive way
  • Assisting with personal care where required
  • Creating a structured, engaging, and safe learning environment
