Mental Health Teaching Assistant - Corby
Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work with children and young people in schools across the Corby area. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students' emotional wellbeing and mental health in an educational setting.
As a Mental Health TA, you will work closely with pupils who may experience anxiety, trauma, behavioural challenges, or additional emotional needs, helping them to access learning and thrive in school.
The Role- Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with mental health and emotional needs
- Supporting students with self-regulation, engagement, and positive behaviour
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and pastoral teams
- Creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
- Helping pupils build confidence, resilience, and coping strategies
- Experience working with children or young people with mental health needs (school-based or similar settings)
- A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
- Relevant qualifications or training (desirable but not essential)
