The Role
The school is seeking an experienced Early Years Teaching Assistant who can support pupils across Nursery/Reception, working closely with the class teacher and wider team. Responsibilities will include:
- Supporting learning through play and structured activities
- Assisting with phonics, early literacy and numeracy
- Helping to create a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment
- Supporting children's social and emotional development
- Working collaboratively with staff to ensure consistency across the setting
- Maintaining a positive and proactive approach in the classroom
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant (essential)
- Experience within Early Years (preferred)
- A positive, team‑player mentality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
- A genuine passion for working with young children
