SEN Teaching Assistant (Wandsworth)
Support children with additional needs and help them reach their full potential.
The Role
SEN Teaching Assistant - Full-time (Monday-Friday) - Long-term position - September 2026 start - Wandsworth - Competitive daily rate.
Responsibilities
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Support learning inside and outside the classroom.
- Implement strategies from EHCPs where appropriate.
- Encourage independence, confidence and positive behaviour.
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals.
- Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
- Promote a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
- The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience supporting children with SEN.
- Experience supporting needs such as Autism, ADHD, Speech & Language or other additional needs is desirable.
- Calm, patient and resilient approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Passionate about helping every child succeed.
