Hours: 8:30am - 3:30pm, term time only, full time
Tradewind are currently recruiting for an experienced and nurturing SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child with complex special educational needs in a welcoming primary school in Havering. The role involves providing 1:1 support for a pupil in LKS2 with ASD and behavioural challenges, helping them to engage positively in learning and school life.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have strong experience supporting pupils with Autism (ASD) and behavioural needs
- Be patient, nurturing, and resilient, with a calm and empathetic approach
- Be able to provide concise and clear instructions to promote understanding and engagement
- Demonstrate effective strategies for managing behaviour in a positive and consistent way
- Have previous experience in specialist provisions or SEN schools
- Build trusting relationships with the child and wider school community
- Work collaboratively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other support staff

- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Right to work in the UK
