Are you an enthusiastic SEND teacher looking for a role where you can truly make a difference every day? We are excited to recruit an inspirational SEND Teacher to join its expanding Specialist Resource Provision from September 2026 for the full academic year. This is a rare opportunity to become part of a highly successful inclusion team within a mainstream school that is committed to ensuring every child receives the support they need to flourish.

About the Specialist Provision

The school's Specialist Resource Provision has become a key part of its inclusive approach, providing bespoke education for children with complex learning needs within a nurturing mainstream environment. The provision offers:

  • Small classes of no more than 10 pupils
  • Excellent adult-to-pupil ratios with experienced Teaching Assistants
  • Two specialist teachers working collaboratively
  • Strong leadership and ongoing professional support
  • Close links between the provision and the wider school community

Pupils benefit from personalised learning programmes while also accessing appropriate opportunities to participate in mainstream school life, helping them develop confidence, independence and social skills.

Your Role

As the class teacher, you'll create an engaging and highly individualised learning environment that enables every pupil to achieve their personal best. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons tailored to individual needs
  • Leading a small class of pupils with a range of complex SEND
  • Working alongside a skilled team of Teaching Assistants to deliver consistent, high-quality support
  • Monitoring progress and adapting provision to meet pupils' changing needs
  • Promoting communication, independence and emotional wellbeing
  • Working closely with families and external professionals to ensure the best outcomes for every child
  • Collaborating with the parallel SEND teacher to share ideas and develop outstanding practice across the provision

What We're Looking For

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Have experience teaching pupils with SEND in either mainstream or specialist settings
  • Be passionate about inclusive education and personalised learning
  • Have high expectations for every child, regardless of need
  • Be patient, reflective and adaptable in your approach
  • Enjoy working as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team

Why You'll Love This School

Inclusion is central to everything this school does. Staff work together to create a culture where children are valued as individuals and supported to reach their full potential. Leaders are approachable, invested in staff wellbeing and committed to ongoing professional development. The expansion of the Specialist Resource Provision reflects the school's success and growing reputation for delivering exceptional SEND support. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher looking to develop their specialist expertise within an ambitious, caring and highly supportive school community.
