School Administrator (Maternity Cover) – Lambeth

Full‑Time September 2026 Start Long‑term Contract

Are you an organised, proactive, and friendly administrator looking for your next opportunity within a school environment? We are seeking a dedicated School Administrator to join a welcoming and supportive school team on a maternity cover contract, starting in September 2026 – July 2027. Successful candidates will be invited to attend a small number of paid handover days during August to ensure a smooth transition into the role.

The Role

Hours: 9am – 4pm, Monday to Friday (32.5 hours per week). As School Administrator, you will play a key role in supporting the day‑to‑day running of the school office, acting as a first point of contact for parents, visitors, staff, and pupils. You will provide efficient administrative support and help ensure the smooth operation of school systems and procedures.

We Are Looking For Someone Who:

  • Has previous administrative experience, ideally within a school, educational setting, or children’s centre
  • Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Is confident using Microsoft Office and administrative systems
  • Can work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Has a professional and welcoming manner
  • Holds a valid Enhanced DBS certificate or is willing to obtain one
  • Is available to attend handover days in August and commence the role in September
