About the role: Tradewind Recruitment is partnering with a Harrow primary school to find an experienced Year 5 Teacher for September 2026, full-time or part-time. Year 5 is a pivotal year of preparation. You will deliver the KS2 National Curriculum with high expectations across reading, writing, mathematics and the wider curriculum, building pupils' independence, analytical thinking and academic resilience ahead of Year 6. You will monitor and respond to pupil progress data, deliver targeted interventions where needed, and work collaboratively with teaching assistants and SENCO colleagues to ensure every pupil — including those with SEND and EAL — is stretching towards their potential.
What we are looking for:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential
- Solid KS2 teaching experience, ideally in Years 4-6
- High subject knowledge across the primary curriculum
- Confident in preparing pupils for KS2 SATs and upper primary expectations
- Skilled in differentiation and targeted intervention
- Strong behaviour management with an aspirational, growth mindset approach
